What is the difference between a transaction fee and a discount on LandscapeHub?

The transaction fee is an agreed upon rate that the supplier pays to Landscape Hub for services rendered. Those services include bringing the supplier new customers and incremental orders, marketing exposure to thousands of active buyers, managing sales tax collection and remittance, and taking on the risk and float of accounts receivable so suppliers can focus on running their business.
Discounts are markdowns offered by the supplier to the end user for various reasons. These discounts are displayed as a ‘discounted price’ on the applicable products when searching or placing orders on the Landscape Hub site and are separate from the transaction fee.
